Happy Mother’s Day

Happy Mother's Day to all you Moms out there.  Hoe you got spoiled today.  My Mother's Day treats started yesterday already . . . Kevin brought home flowers and sent me to watch "Messiah" (a locally produced play) with my daughter and with his mother (my nephew came too, as Grandma was watching the kids for the weekend).  Talia enjoyed it . . . though she sure had some tough questions for me: "Why is Joseph angry with her?" "What are they throwing at her?" "Why don't they like her anymore?" . . . how do you explain a "crisis pregnancy" in terms that a 5-year old can understand?  Joshua, on the other hand, fell asleep during the second act πŸ˜‰
Anyways, this morning the girls pulled out their mother's day treasures for me from their special hiding place (under my bed!).  Talia had a booklet and some bath stuff she had made for me at preschool . . . Kaisa had a card from gymnastics and a lollipop flower from storytime . . .

After church, we went for lunch with Grandma (and the crew) and then came back home for a quiet afternoon.  The neighbour girl came over, so Talia and Kaisa were busy.

Tonight, we went back to Grandma's for "faspa."  After we got home, Kevin needed to go back to work for a couple hours, so I got a bit of computer time.

Chris and Crystal spoke in church today about their mission (and did a wonderful job of it!) . . . and that got me motivated to tweak our pamphlet and work on the last layout that I'm doing for our display.  I still have to make up prayer cards, but I'm hoping eMi has a template for that.  If not, it shouldn't take too long to put together.  Then we just need to figure out what exactly to convey in the 10 minutes we have alloted to us πŸ™‚
