I have gotten an awesome opportunity to go on another mission trip. This time, I will be going to Tactic, Guatemala. On my parents’ first mission’s trip with EMI, they designed a school for Impact Ministries, I’ll be going with Impact to the same community; in fact, the church I’m going with has been raising money for that school. I’m excited to get to know the kids there and help out with the school they are building.
I’ve been fundraising with my youth group. We’ve shoveled mushroom manure (fun, I know 🙂 ), done a bottle drive, and a couple other things. But $2000 is a lot of money to raise, and I would be grateful if you could help out.
I will be going in August of this year for about 2 weeks with 10 other youth from my church and a couple adults. We will be doing a number of different things while we are in Guatemala. We will be running a VBS, visiting families and a hospital, and visiting at least one of the Impact schools. Kaisa and I may also get to visit the classroom we have been supporting.
While money is a big part of going on the trip, prayer is even more important. If you could pray for me and the rest of our team, I would appreciate it lots! If you could pray for the families and children we will see in Guatemala, for the people going on this trip that our eyes will be opened to see what God is doing in Guatemala, and that we would know how we can help, that would be awesome.
