It feels like we’ve been “coming home” ever since we said our good-byes at the orphanage on Saturday afternoon. But that was still followed by a day of rest & relaxation and debriefing at a local resort, a visit to an eMi-designed project en route to Port-au-Prince, some souvenir shopping, several long flights (with a public transit adventure in between), and finally our arrival back in Calgary. THOSE photos aren’t posted yet, but I’ve managed to create an album of most of the rest of our trip, and I think it tells our story better than I could with text (and hey, if a picture is worth a thousand words, then I’ve written a novel!). THANK YOU to everyone who helped make this trip possible for us – it really went more smoothly than I could have ever imagined (lots of you must have been praying!!), and we’re excited both by the design that Engineering Ministries International was able to prepare for the Welcome Home Children’s Centre AND for the time the girls and I were able to spend bringing some joy to some great kids. Please keep praying for us as we reintegrate here . . . the girls were back in school today and are feeling a bit overwhelmed, and Kevin & my schedule is looking busy for the coming days and weeks too. Pray for us and all those who were with us, that we will continue to listen to God’s still small voice in the busy days ahead.
