It’s starting to look a lot like Christmas . . .

Calgary’s been on the news these past few days for “extreme weather conditions” . . . and yes, it’s been feeling a bit chilly.  I can hardly believe the drifts we’ve seen, even just around the corner from us.  Thankfully, we haven’t gotten stuck.  There was no school on Friday, so I actually didn’t even try to take the car out of the back alley on Friday or Saturday, but Sunday morning we were able to get to church, and by today there’s been enough traffic in the alley to make it reasonably passable.

So, here’s what we’ve been doing on a lazy, snowbound weekend:

Making sugar cookies with friends

Braving the cold to play in the snowdrifts

Decorating the Christmas Tree

Between baking, crafting, decorating, and the like, it was actually a really nice weekend.  The girls had a birthday party to go to on Sunday afternoon, so Kevin and I even got to go on a bit of a date 🙂
