After a busy Thanksgiving weekend, it’s not hard to be thankful for all that we have. The big things – family, friends, food, a home, freedom . . . and the little things. Talia is thankful she lost another tooth. I’m thankful my mother-in-law was around to cook the thanksgiving turkey for me. Kevin is thankful that the house is quiet again 😉
Here’s what our thanksgiving looked like:
Kevin’s parents arrived on Thursday evening . . . on Friday afternoon we bundled up and took them to a local park to introduce them to geocaching.
On Saturday, we spent the day at Heritage Park. Talia & Kaisa enjoyed stopping at the schoolroom to do the math questions that were posted on the blackboard.
On Sunday afternoon, we enjoyed a Thanksgiving dinner with Kevin’s parents, our homestay student, and the eMi intern . . . and on Sunday evening everyone except Grandma & I went to enjoy a Hitmen’s Hockey Game.
On Monday, Kevin’s parents headed home, and the rest of us headed to a local amusement park to enjoy their free family weekend. Here, we’re spinning in the fastest strawberry in the west 🙂
A busy weekend. Lots of family time and lots of fun. Now it’s time to get back into routine. I’m at work today (I’m on my lunch break right now). This morning I got out a press release about a Canadian eMi volunteer and did some updating in the database. Kevin’s hard at work finishing up the Niger project. He received final drawings on Friday. The girls are back at school. And there’s nothing planned for tonight!
