Exhilirating and exhausting . . .

that probably best describes our weekend at Missionsfest in Edmonton. Kevin was at Missionsfest from about 9:30 a.m. to 10 p.m. on Friday and Saturday, and then again on Sunday until the exhibits closed at 6. I got a few more breaks (I actually got to go “home” for supper with the girls each day . . . we were so spoiled to be staying within minutes of the Shaw Centre – and with friends!) but I also spent a lot of hours at Missionsfest. The girls spent most of Friday at a friend’s “farm,” and then enjoyed some incredible children’s programming (& just wandering around the booths with Mom — especially during the “quiet” times when the exhibitors had more time to answer questions and interact on their level). Kevin was mostly at the booth, along with the interns or a volunteer, while I “wandered” a lot, taking the opportunity to introduce other ministries to eMi. We made a dozen solid ministry contacts and spoke to lots of potential volunteers! I also got to go to a couple seminars on “raising world Christians” and “igniting kids’ hearts for the world” so I’m all excited about seeing how this can be incorporated both at home and with our church’s Awana and Sunday School programs . . . now, if only I could slow down enough to catch up on some sleep . . . šŸ˜‰
