Manila

Today, I got to go to Manila on some errands. We had two separate meetings with local architects to learn about local building practice. We met one of the board members of the ministry who provided more insight into the priorities of the project.

Manila is very hot and it rains a lot. The car exhaust was stifling, but the downtown was like a modern city. Very clean with lots of large skyscrapers. We are now at the “Megamall B” waiting for the missionary to finish some errands. The internet cafe is 40 cents for 1/2 hour, so I thought I would catch up on my email. We are getting ready for the 3 hour ride back home. It’ll be well after supper before we get back. We left this morning at 8:00.
