Surprised by Spring

Spring seems to have snuck up on me this year.  I know it's April already, but two weeks ago the girls were going skiing for the first time and getting snowman building lessons from the neighbour girls, and this weeked we pulled out their bikes. Today we even walked to their dentist appointments — though I have to admit, the combination of sun, wind & exercise seems to have tired me out šŸ™‚

Tonight was English Corner — we've got such a great group right now. After our activity, we were chatting over snacks, and somehow the conversation got onto my impending move to Calgary. It's hard to explain what it is we're doing (and why!) in basic English — terms like raising support, faith ministry, even missionary need to be explained (along with all the engineering stuff). And it still feels funny to use the word "missionary" to refer to us! That'll take some getting used to (though the other day, when I was explaining to Talia that a missionary was someone who goes to tell others about Jesus, her immediate response was "I wanna be one of those" šŸ™‚

Anyway, back to English Corner — I guess that's still one of my big prayer requests; that someone would come along before I leave to take over that ministry. . . if that's what God has in mind . . .
